How lit is your playlist?  When’s the last time you added some new artists?  Well, if it’s been a while, here are a few of our picks.


Daniel Ceasar

 

Ashton Simmonds, better known by his stage name Daniel Caesar (born April 5, 1995) is a Canadian R&B and soul singer-songwriter. After independently building a following through the release of two critically acclaimed EPs Praise Break and Pilgrim’s Paradise, Caesar released his debut album Freudian in August 2017.


Ella Mai

Ella Mai is an English singer and songwriter. Originally from London, Mai moved to New York City at the age of 12 before returning to England after graduating from high school. In February 2016, she released Time, the first in her EP trilogy. The 6-track EP included the single, “She Don’t”, which featured Ty Dolla $ign. She released her second EP, Change, in November 2016 and third, Ready, in February 2017. Her next release will be her debut studio album.


Sonder

 

Christopher Brent Wood, better known by his stage name Brent Faiyaz, is an American singer and record producer. He released his debut project, an EP entitled A.M. Paradox, in 2016. Faiyaz is the lead singer in the group Sonder.


Leela James

Leela James is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. James’ sixth album, Did It For Love was released on March 31, 201,7 by Shesangz Music under license to BMG


Labrinth

Labrinth born Timothy Lee Mckenzie is an English musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. Labrinth made his debut appearance on the UK Singles Chart in March 2010, when his collaboration with English rapper Tinie Tempah, “Pass Out”, reached number one. His debut album Electronic Earth was released on 31 March 2012, having been preceded by the singles “Earthquake”, featuring Tinie Tempah and “Last Time”, which peaked at number two and number four.


Syd

Syd born Sydney Loren Bennett s an American singer, songwriter, record producer, disc jockey, and audio engineer from L.A. On September 7, 2017, Syd released “Almost Never Home” which is a three track EP. “Almost Never Home” is the follow-up to her debut solo album Fin
